Ronnie did his graduation from the Grambling State College in Louisiana. He holds a degree in accounting. Ronnie is employed as a police officer by the Texas police department and has been working there since 1989.
Ronnie was first spotted and introduced to the world of bodybuilding by the owner of Metro Flex Gym in Arlington, Brian Dobson. Ronnie Coleman first competed in a bodybuilding competition at the Mr. Texas in April 1990
